I left school at age 16 and started studying for an MEng Computer Science in Glasgow, from which I graduated with distinction at 21. I've loved computers since I was little. I founded my first startup, Dizeo, in 2010 - we were the world's first pre-moderated social network for children. In 2012, I began studying medicine in Dundee. I loved being able to combine the analytical and logical thinking required in engineering with the people skills needed to be a doctor. We got to spend a huge amount of time on the wards - seeing patients from just 10 weeks in. I founded snap40 after witnessing patients deteriorate because the warning signs were detected late.
In May 2015, I decided to drop out and focus full-time on growing snap40.
